Take a moment and breath.
For a moment forget about the day, and tune into your inner peace.
This is the power we have. As sons and daughters of God we always have the ability to go into a place of peace. To go with Jesus into a place where the outside world doesn’t bother us, doesn’t affect our emotions. We just need to steward this place.
To keep it nice we might have to mow the grass, trim the bushes, put up some fences. Not in the natural, but here in your peaceful place. Practically this means just taking at first a couple minutes a day to unplug from the bustling world around you and go to that peaceful place with the Father and spend some time with him.
The more you get in the habit of taking care of your peaceful place, you will no longer have to go there, because you are there. The fact was you always were there because Holy Spirit is peace and because he is inside of you, you have it in you at all times. In fact, you are peace!
Peace is powerful. This peace links you to every answer you need. This peace brings calm to the storms around you. This peace is a river of joy that is always flowing because you don’t have worry and stress hindering its flow.
Us as the children of God are to be known for our love and our peace, but if you don’t have peace you cannot show the fullness of love. Perfect love casts out fear. Need help feeling peaceful today? Ask Papa God how much he loves you and what he thinks of you. This love is overwhelming and the peace it brings is deeper than you or anyone can know and understand.
You are made for this.
Don’t get discouraged by the things going on around you that make it seem like everything is going wrong. Each push-back, each set back, each bit of opposition does not come without a reward.
When you are moving toward your destiny you are creating a new path, a new trail that has not been made before, a trek that has not been trekked before. This is your journey.
The opposition that is here because you have an amazing purpose in front of you, so when we don’t lose heart, when we don’t give in… that is our reward. You are getting closer.
But if we look at the closed doors, the long days and hard nights as just unfortunate happenings we can miss the things that we are meant to learn. Each day we have a chance to learn, to grow, and become a better reflection of Jesus. What we go through is not by happenstance, they are there to grow our perseverance; this perseverance helps to produce our character, and our character produces hope inside of us! (Romans 5:3-5)
When we go through these rough times in our lives it begins to grow seeds that were in us. Seeds that would have never grown if these obstacles would not occur. And as we take victory by victory these seedlings grow into strong trees that can handle the storms of life, can handle the weight without any sign of budging.
The bumps in the road, the smacks in the face, the punch in the gut are not always that easy to walk through. But each step forward is a victory. For each step forward there is a party in heaven.
Each day is a day of victory. Don’t go through your day defeated, you have what it takes. You are growing something amazing on the inside with each step you take! Don’t be discouraged with small beginnings. You are made for this.
Whether if it feels like a mountain in front of you, or trees in the way… you are made to soar over it.
The difficulties that come in our way are not there to make us stop. They were put there by our enemy to make us stop but they aren’t big enough, or strong enough to make us stop dead in our tracks.
At times I catch myself seeing a wall of trees or what feels to be a mountain of problems and becoming discouraged, and at times hopeless. But this is only because we take our eyes off our God and we forget who we are.
Remember who our God is. Our God is the one who can dry up the oceans or make rivers run through the desert. The one who can flatten mountains or part a sea.
And who are we? We are children of the most high God who with a small bit of faith can go through a mountain into the sea, who can run races and don’t grow weary. This is the authority in us not just because we are great (which we are) but our father loves doing things with us and for us. Just as a father or mother will do anything for their child, so he does with us.
There are times that God wants to walk through the valley with us but today he is reminding that you have the ability to rise higher, get a different perspective, it’s time to see the more He has for you.
So when those obstacles come in your way don’t get discouraged, GET EXCITED because you have the strength to go through it or the ability to go above it!
YOU GOT THIS!
Through the dark nights of the soul. Through the times when its hard and exhausting, don’t give up. Don’t give up hope for our God does not only show up in the light but also in the darkness. Not only on the mountaintops but also in the valleys.
Where there seems to be no way, he is there making a way. When the darkness is blinding he is there putting the stars in the sky, the lights to show you the way back. To show you the way forward.
He doesn’t leave you alone.
You may feel like you are the only one. You may feel like no one cares or no one is there to be with you. But remember that He is always with you. He always cares. He will and always satisfies every need we ever have.
He is our comforter in hard times. He is our strength when we feel weak. He is our provider when we have little. He is our joy when we are in pain or sad. He is our protector when the enemy comes. He is our defender against the lies. He is love at all times and there to cast out any fear. He is our father who will, who went, and still will go through mountains, through the trenches, through any barrier to get to you, to come rescue you and bring you back home.
This is our God. Not some entity that is far off and leaves us alone to figure out life. Our God is personal, loving, caring, and is there always. He will show up in a moment’s notice for any one of his children. He is here for you, in the storm, in the valley, during those dark nights. He is here not only to be with you, but also to help bring you home. Whether it’s helping you in seeing what steps you need to take or carrying you all the way home…
HE IS HERE!
