Remember the nursery rhyme:
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horseman and all the king’s men couldn’t put humpty together again.
We all have had points in our lives where we feel broken beyond compare, shattered with little hope of being restored.
But God speaks a better word. Not only does he speak a better word but he also mends, heals, restores, and make things brand new.
Aren’t we glad that with our God one mistake doesn’t ruin our lives forever! Our God is the God that can, and does put Humpty Dumpty together every single day.
It’s sometimes the crushed pieces that make the most beautiful masterpieces.
Sometimes we try to hold ourselves together so much but our loving Papa God says its ok to let go. I will still make something beautiful out of this.
The God who made the universe out of nothing can surely do amazing things with a shattered jar, or broken heart.
He not only puts it back together but he will make it better than it was ever before. He doesn’t use the ‘cheap’ materials to put you back together. He uses the best, highest quality, most extravagant material to make you whole… it started with his son. Because of Jesus who took the pain, took the brokenness, took the loneliness, we can be whole. Even better is that he doesn’t give us the broken pieces and says, ‘figure it out’ but he walks along side and says, ‘Hey I know this is hard for you. Let’s do this together to make you better, stronger, and more whole than before’.
Each day is a chance to try and hold our jar of life together or to give it into the hands of the potter.
Isn’t it better to give our broken hearts to the one who made them? He knows how to put them back together again.
Words are powerful. Each word said creates. Whether good or bad it releases either the productive, great things we say, or the destructive, meaningless things said.
Simple words can make a difference.
When your day is going badly, or even when the doctor gives a bad report. There are a couple words that can change everything. ‘I Choose’. I choose to believe that today is a great day. I choose to believe I am blessed, loved and favored. I choose not to believe what I see I choose to believe ALL that God says about me.
So, what does God say about you? His words created the universe. His song over you holds the atoms in your body in a certain vibration so that they won’t fall apart. His words trump EVERY OTHER WORD that is spoken.
God says you’re amazing, healthy, loved, forgiven, wealthy, purposed, worthy, desired, perfect, beautiful, handsome, wonderful, lovely, never forgotten, the apple of his eye, his most prized possession, and his child.
What He says can never be torn down. Every negative voice can be turned and silenced. His voice breaks down walls. His voice throws out every disease or illness. His voice kicks down the doors of the enemy’s camp and takes you out and puts you back into the palace where you first came from.
Our words have that same power because we have Holy Spirit living in us. In the power of our words we have more than enough power to declare sickness to cease, to set people free, and release them into freedom just as you have been. Your words have the power to comfort those at the exact time needed. Your words bring life to a sad, depressed and weary soul.
Father God’s words became action and brought you from a dungeon to a castle. Now it’s your turn to do the same.
They help light up the night sky as the moon reflects the light of the sun.
They help us see what we look like and can help us change to who we want to be.
We see our reflection every day, multiple times a day, we might tweak a couple things, make sure nothing is in our teeth and then keep going on with our day.
Reflections are powerful things.
We are called to be a reflection of Christ, of our Father, of Jesus. Does that mean we have to be perfect? No, but that is what we strive for. To love without limits, to forgive without hesitation, to always believe the best of everyone, and to walk with peace at all time.
Is this possible? Many would say it’s impossible, but one man did, Jesus. And he is the one we want to become more like. No, it’s not easy, every day it takes sacrificing a part of our pride, and a part of ‘our way’ of doing things. But think about it this way, we do it every day. Multiple times a day.
When you look into a mirror you tweak your hair, check your teeth to make sure you look like your best you. That is as easy as it gets. You don’t have to make huge changes to change your life. Sometimes it’s the little tweaks throughout the day when you ask yourself: how am I reflecting God right now?
Take a moment and breath.
For a moment forget about the day, and tune into your inner peace.
This is the power we have. As sons and daughters of God we always have the ability to go into a place of peace. To go with Jesus into a place where the outside world doesn’t bother us, doesn’t affect our emotions. We just need to steward this place.
To keep it nice we might have to mow the grass, trim the bushes, put up some fences. Not in the natural, but here in your peaceful place. Practically this means just taking at first a couple minutes a day to unplug from the bustling world around you and go to that peaceful place with the Father and spend some time with him.
The more you get in the habit of taking care of your peaceful place, you will no longer have to go there, because you are there. The fact was you always were there because Holy Spirit is peace and because he is inside of you, you have it in you at all times. In fact, you are peace!
Peace is powerful. This peace links you to every answer you need. This peace brings calm to the storms around you. This peace is a river of joy that is always flowing because you don’t have worry and stress hindering its flow.
Us as the children of God are to be known for our love and our peace, but if you don’t have peace you cannot show the fullness of love. Perfect love casts out fear. Need help feeling peaceful today? Ask Papa God how much he loves you and what he thinks of you. This love is overwhelming and the peace it brings is deeper than you or anyone can know and understand.
